Scott Twp. Fire Works Accident w/ Injuries

May 5, 2012 - Scott Twp. Fire Department responded to an accident with injuries at the intersection of Highway 41 and Boonville New Harmony Road. It was believed that the vehicle involved struck a pickup that was parked on the side of the road. 4M1 & 4M3 responded and handled patient care. 4E3 responded to assist with patient care and clean up of fluids.

Scott Twp. E3 Assists German Twp. w/ 2 Alarm Structure Fire

May 5, 2012 - Scott Twp. Fire E3 assisted German Township with a structure fire in the early morning hours today. E3 assisted with extinguishment and overhaul. First arriving German Twp. units found heavy fire in the attic and quickly requested a 2nd alarm. Firefighters were on scene for several hours battling the blaze. Severe storms throughout the night are a possible cause, but it is still under investigation.

Scott Twp. Participates in Brake Supply Health Safety Day

May 2, 2012 - Scott Twp. Fire Department participated in a Health & Safety Day at Brake Supply. Brake Supply is located in the township along Highway 57 in the Vanderburgh Industrial Park. Members were at the event all day long to promote the department, display and explain some of our equipment and to assist in recruitment for the department.

Accident w/ Injuries & Extrication

April 9, 2012 - Scott Twp. Fire Department was dispatched to the intersection of Highway 41 and Baseline Road for an accident with injuries. Upon the arrival of 4M1 command was established. Size up found two vehicles involved and one pt needed extrication. Extrication was completed in 8 minutes from time of arrival. Pt's were transported to the hospital by 4M1 & 4M3. Clean up was completed and all units went back in service.

Scott & German Twp. Fire work Overturned Vehicle

April 8, 2012 - Scott Twp. Fire Department assisted German Twp. Fire with an accident with injuries and possible extrication on Highway 65 in Armstrong on Easter day. Both 4M1 & 4M2 responded to the call. First arriving German units advised there were 3 patients, 1 adult and 2 infants. All pt's were removed from the vehicle without extrication. All 3 patients were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Luckily the infants in the vehicle were properly restrained which most likely saved their lives.
